About the shop
Teton Mountaineering has been servicing the outdoor community since 1971, when Chuck Schaap purchased Powderhorn Mountaineering from John Horn, who’s family were early homesteaders in Jackson Hole. The original shop was located in the old Crabtree Hotel on the Southwest corner of the town square, in 1992 the property was sold and we relocated to our present location. For five decades our friendly passionate staff of climbers and skiers has been striving to provide the highest level of customer service possible.
